Julian Alessi
Julian Alessi is the Financial Lead and co-founder of Ætheria, where he is responsible for market analysis, financial modeling, and the development of the company’s leasing and carbon credit strategies—ensuring a path to long-term financial sustainability. With strong skills in strategic planning, budgeting, risk analysis, and capital allocation, Julian brings a data-driven approach to financial leadership. He is currently pursuing his studies at University College Maastricht (UCM) as an honors student, with a focus on economics, environmental science, sustainable development, and technological innovation. Passionate about systems thinking and impact-oriented finance, Julian is committed to leveraging emerging technologies and innovative economic models to drive sustainable growth and social equity.
David Dixon
David Dixon is the Manager and co-founder of Ætheria, where he leads the company’s daily operations and the development of its core technology. As a certified precision engineer, he applies a hands-on, solutions-oriented approach to Ætheria’s mission of transforming waste into climate-positive opportunities.
David is currently pursuing a degree in chemistry at the Maastricht Science Programme (MSP). His extensive experience in launching early-stage ventures provides him with a deep understanding of startup growth, team-building, and the complexities of scaling mission-driven innovation. David is dedicated to ensuring Ætheria successfully delivers on its dual mission: developing scalable solutions for circular, low-carbon waste systems, while fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment where young innovators can thrive.
Before his studies at MSP, David attended Zuid University of Applied Sciences, specializing in biometrics. He also studied at Leeuwenborgh, a technical school, where he focused on precision mechanics.
